About AKSAXO JAZZ

The story of Lee Pulliam, the unique combination of acoustic saxophones with digital rhythm sections, and roots stretching from Alaska to Colorado.

You Bring It, We Swing It

AKSAXO JAZZ was founded by multi-instrumentalist Lee Pulliam to solve a fundamental challenge in live music: how to deliver rich, engaging jazz into spaces where a full acoustic rhythm section would either overpower conversation or physically not fit on stage.

By pairing pristine live woodwinds—tenor, alto, soprano saxophone, flute, and clarinet—with custom digital rhythm sequencing and the Electronic Wind Instrument (EWI), Lee creates a complete, dynamic band sound with the stage footprint of a single soloist.

The result is music that commands attention when you want to listen, yet sits respectfully in the background so guests can talk, dine, and enjoy each other's company without shouting over drums.

When larger productions call for full live interaction, AKSAXO JAZZ expands into a premier live jazz duo, trio, or quartet, featuring the region's finest keyboardists, upright bassists, and drummers.
